IACED members know the challenges facing the community development field. Despite these obstacles, IACED members remain tireless advocates and vital resources for Hoosiers facing joblessness and underemployment and communities seeing increasing homelessness, foreclosure, and destabilization of neighborhoods. IACED members help to coordinate strong local leadership among community residents, traditional leaders, and community-based organizations that will yield a more positive future for Hoosier communities.

If you are a CEO at an IACED member organization or an interested community leader, please attend IACED’s 2012 regional member meetings. At these meetings, we will discuss new methods to support your organization’s operations and your ability to enact powerful change in your local community. We will emphasize how your work contributes to a comprehensive model of positive community change. Your unique perspective is critical to our understanding of the local needs in your community as well as the vital assets that will help to transform community development throughout Indiana.

This year, in addition to updates from IACED we are partnering with Ice Miller, LLP and Synergy to deliver valuable information on organizational management strategy and tools for advancing community improvement.

Ice Miller will share information on non-profit and tax exemption issues, property taxes, and real estate development, among other topics.   Synergy, IACED’s professional employment organization, will partner to deliver a training in conjunction with the regional member meeting titled “Implement Programs to Increase Performance and Productivity.”

You can download the slide decks from these training sessions here:

Details on specific locations and times for each event will be updated in the coming week on this page and on our blog.
