PrintWhat is the Homeownership Education and Counseling (HomeEC) Affinity Group?
As part of the HomeEC Initiative, IACED has created an affinity group of housing counselors and other stakeholders in related fields to meet and discuss pressing issues in the field. IACED also sends out a periodic newsletter to the affinity group with pressing research and policy issues relating to housing counseling and homebuyer education. Participation in the HomeEC affinity group is open to any organization in the state with a stake in homeownership education and counseling. This includes groups that currently offer, or would like to offer, homeownership education workshops, home buyer clubs, one-on-one counseling, credit counseling, down payment assistance, or default intervention. It also includes community development corporations, banks, consumer credit counseling organizations, Habitat for Humanity affiliates, and non-profit housing developers, to name a few. If you would like to join this group, contact Chris Collins at ccollins@iaced.org.
