The Riley Area Development Corporation(RADC) is a Community Development Corporation (CDC) and a catalyst for community revitalization, economic development, and partnerships – focused the past 30+ years on the near northeast quadrant of downtown Indianapolis. CDCs maximize public funds through alliances with financial institutions, equity investors, and individual donors. Committed to helping neighborhoods direct their own economic destiny, Riley Area believes long-term revitalization of urban neighborhoods is most successful when it is community-driven.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the new Executive Director provides primary leadership for the ongoing management of the organization, including project identification and development, strategic planning, board development, fundraising strategy and execution, and day to day operations.

Read the job posting and apply here

As you submit your application, you will requested to answer five short questions to assist you and the Search Committee in matching your background and skills to this position.

Why would leading the Riley Area Development Corporation be a great match for you?

Rarely do all the stakeholders in a community hold the same vision for development. Provide an example of how you have taken on a role to bring people, organizations, and/or resources together to make a part of Indianapolis or your current community a better place to live.

Briefly provide some examples of the types of development efforts you have been involved with.

What is your level of familiarity with the development cycle and tax credit development?

Tell us about your experience working with a nonprofit board. As the staff leader – what do you expect of your board leadership and what can they expect from you?
